As the first few weeks passed interviewing with companies, I hadn’t quite found what I was looking for in a future career. But things happen for a reason. Several months back I had interviewed with David Cain at Mediasauce which, at the time, did not have a place for me. He did mention, however, that there was a cool technology company named iGoDigital that may be a good fit. He was RIGHT!
After joining the iGoDigital team in late October, our awesome company continued to grow at an exponential pace. Just as I was getting acquainted with my new surroundings, our office space was not large enough to fit the expanding team. So, on a cold January morning we loaded up a U-Haul and moved to the new, swanky office in Indianapolis. This office even had a window!

With the new office space and the holidays in the rear view window, it was time to roll up the sleeves and get to work. In February, Dan sent me to my first conference in Orlando, FL with no booth and a week’s worth of basic training. It was some experience! I took my first prospects out to dinner, networked and “drank from the fire hose.”

Later that spring, I was honored to receive the iGoDigital Compass Award for my work on developing a partnership with one of the largest online shoe retailers, OnlineShoes.com. It was one of the greatest team efforts I have ever seen in a business setting. From top to bottom, it was a complete team effort and exemplified why this place is so special.
In May, I enjoyed my first true vacation with my fiancée and some friends as we set out to Arizona for a week of fun in the sun. From bull riding (which we decided against at the last minute) to intense games of pool basketball, it was an extremely enjoyable trip. We mildly considered staying out there and just living in the Arizona Mountains, but knew that we had to come back to reality eventually.

The next few months were a blur at the iGoDigital office. Between hog shows and traveling, the summer flew by and it was quickly approaching the fall football season again. But just as the summer was winding down, Dan found another way to surprise me in front of the whole team. During our monthly meetings, he caught me off guard with a surprise slide and a promotion. It was a real honor and a complete shock. Thanks, Dan!
All in all, it has been one of the most memorable years of my life. From growing as a professional to enjoying the good life with the ones I love here in Indiana, I am really looking forward to what the next year has to offer. In June of 2012, I will be marrying my best friend and beautiful fiancée. With that alone, it is prepped to be the most exciting year for my life!
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in such an awesome year. I am very blessed to have such a great fiancée, family, friends, colleagues here at iGoDigital and partners around the world.
